In 2007, our company embarked on an exciting journey as we transitioned to a new office space located at 2505 Panola Rd, Lithonia, Ga. The move marked a significant milestone in our growth, symbolizing progress and a commitment to innovation. Nestled in a dynamic business district, our new headquarters offered a contemporary and collaborative environment designed to inspire creativity and productivity among our team. The relocation not only provided upgraded facilities but also reinforced our dedication to fostering a vibrant workplace culture. As we settled into our new surroundings, the energy and enthusiasm among our employees soared, setting the stage for a period of sustained success and achievement.
In 2009, the Dr. Isioma Foundation emerged as a beacon of hope and compassion, dedicated to making a meaningful impact on the lives of individuals and communities. Founded by the visionary Dr. Isioma, this philanthropic endeavor was born out of a deep commitment to addressing access to essential health resources. With a focus on healthcare, education, and community development, the foundation has tirelessly worked to uplift the underprivileged and promote sustainable solutions. Over the years, the Dr. Isioma Foundation has become synonymous with transformative initiatives, leaving an indelible mark on the landscape of social responsibility. In 2018, FLMC welcomed the invaluable expertise of a nurse practitioner by name of Mrs Bethel Godwins. With a passion for patient care and a wealth of knowledge in primary healthcare, Mrs Bethel Goodwins has seamlessly integrated into our practice, enhancing the quality and efficiency of our services. Her presence has not only expanded our capacity to provide comprehensive care but has also fostered a collaborative environment, enriching the patient experience. Together, we remain committed to delivering compassionate, patient-centered care while embracing the diverse skills and perspectives that strengthen our team.

Built on 2 acres of land on Panola Rd, Dr. Okobah had a vision she wanted to bring to life when she designed and constructed this state of the art medical center. This new home for the practice represented the future of medical care in Lithonia. Combining quality medical care in a family oriented environment cultivated the lifelong relationships we have with our patients till this day.

Dr. Isioma Okobah Foundation
Was Created.
In 2007, Dr. Okobah decided she could make even more impact on the world by creating a non-governmental and non-profit making organization focused on promoting the individual well being of the rural populace. Each year, the Dr. Isioma Okobah Foundation hosts medical outreaches and other initiatives in the poorest regions of Nigeria. Dr. Okobah’s mission has always been to assist the less privileged, the physically challenged, empower widows, and improve the health needs of the rural dwellers.

As the patient population at First Austell Medical Center grew, we wanted to add a provider that embodied our practice’s values. Mrs. Bethel was the perfect choice and she quickly became a part of the family. The patients love her and value her medical expertise!

Services.
To meet the needs of our patients we decided to add psychiatry services to our expanding medical center. Our board certified medical doctor, Dr. Isioma Okobah will start seeing patients for psychiatric conditions as of January 2023. Prioritizing mental health is extremely important to First Lithonia Medical Center and we are excited to start providing care in this field.

Dr. Isioma Okobah
Dr. Isioma Okobah is a board-certified physician in family medicine who has served the greater Atlanta community for almost two decades. She graduated from University of Benin College of Medical Sciences, Emory University’s Rollins School of Public Health and completed her residency in family medicine at Emory University Hospital. Dr. Okobah opened First Lithonia Medical Center in 2006, where she treats from newborns geriatrics. When she is not treating patients, she acts as the founder of her non-profit organization the Dr. Isioma Okobah Foundation. Optimal health coverage and preventive care for EVERYONE is something Dr. Okobah has actively been pursuing her entire career. She strongly believes in the future of medicine, so she frequently lends her expertise as an adjunct faculty at the Morehouse School of Medicine and Emory School of Medicine. Dr. Okobah is an advocate for routine immunizations.

Mrs. Bethel Godwins
Ms. Bethel Godwins, RN, MSN, FNP-C is a Provider at First Austell Medical Center. She provides compassionate, thorough, and effective patient care. Ms. Godwins began her clinical care journey in 2006 when she graduated from Kennesaw State University with her Bachelors of Nursing (BSN) Degree. After serving as a bedside nurse for over a decade, she obtained her Masters of Nursing from Walden University with a specialization in family care; Ms. Godwins graduated Summa Cum Laude. Ms. Godwins has excellent medical management skills, frequently managing patients with a myriad of illnesses and diseases. After 16 years of providing phenomenal patient care, she utilizes strong analytical and communication skills paired with a loving disposition to create an atmosphere of trust and security for her patients. Ms. Godwins loves to spend time with her husband and 4 daughters as well as her church community when she is not serving her patients. She has a strong conviction in her faith that “what the Lord cannot do does exist” Ms. Godwins is passionate about quality patient care for families from all backgrounds and hopes to care for your loved ones!

Mr. Adamou Chigni
Mr. Adamou Chigni, RN, MSN, FNP-C is a Provider at First Lithonia Medical Center originally from Cameroon. He has a particular interest in the health education and preventative care of pediatric, geriatric, and adult populations. Mr. Adam began his clinical care journey in 2012 when he began his nursing program at Georgia Perimeter College. He graduated from Brenau University in 2017 where is began working at Emory University Hospital as a medical surgical registered nurse. He later pursued a master’s degree in nursing from Chamberlain University and graduated in 2021. He is the 2020 recipient of the Daisy Award, an award recognizing the most compassionate and clinically skilled providers. In Mr. Adam’s free time, he enjoys spending time with his family and traveling around the world. Mr Adam lives in Georgia with his wife and 3 children.
